Storing Unmounted Stamps-My recommendation
First, make a catalog of your collection of stamps and number the pages.
Second, using die storage sheets (I sell 10 mil 8 1/2" x 11" Vinyl sheets, but
acetate can be used), adhere your rubber dies to the storage sheets with the
method of your choice (I prefer vinyl cling and sell it)and number the pages.
Cut 1/4" from the die storage sheet and insert it into a full page sleeve
protector. Number each of these consecutively, 1-?.
Third, writing on each catalog page, mark the die storage sheet page location of
each image. Repeat this procedure until all images in your catalog have the
location marked.
Fourth, as you acquire more images, stamp the images in your catalog, put the
dies on storage sheets and write the page number of the die storage sheet beside
the image in the catalog.
These die storage sheets which have been placed in sleeve protectors can be
stored in binders, boxes, etc.; however, I store mine in a wooden paper sorter
and recommend that method. My rubber dies are on cushion and static cling and I
can put 6 storage sheets/sleeve protectors in each of the 24 slots.
