The color within the images is drawn out with a fine-pointed soft bristle paint brush dipped in water. A palette is created by rubbing yellow and light blue Marvy Markers on a plastic coated paper plate. The yellow in the small picture frame on the wall and the blue stripes of wall paper are painted with a brush using this palette. As an embellishment, 26 gauge wire is worked into and on top of the back and legs of the chair. Twenty-four gauge wire is used to "hang" the larger picture from a decorative yellow snap that is placed in the yellow card stock. This is layered on blue card stock. The absolute two "MUSTS" for this watercolor technique is to use 140 pound watercolor paper and a #45 Sepia (brown) Marvy Marker for your brown. Card by Lisa Haan.
