MB838-T
"Rose fan, Lg." was stamped with Ranger 213 ink on 12 small dominoes after the dominoes were
prepared by drilling two holes in each domino, painting with gesso and sponging copper and beige
Brilliance. After the dominoes were stamped, a varnish coat was applied and "Stretch Magic"
was strung through the holes and tied with a square knot. Bracelet by Margaret Wiggin.
MB21-G "Horse Portrait" was
stamped on a prepared domino with a black 'Staz-on' stamp pad. A fine tip brown
Sharpie was used to add highlights to the stamped image. Preparing the domino
was done by bleaching it and letting it dry. Next, it was stippled with a mix of
White Pearl Lumiere mixed with some Copper Pearl Ex. It was edged with a Sharpie
bold-tip gold pen. Domino by Chris Coslet.
Domino preparation:
Start with a white domino, lightly sand until
the sheen is gone. Add Gesso (white) to the top and sides. When dry, paint with a stipple brush using Lumiere
paints ( Pearl Magenta 573 and Sunset Gold 554).
MC998-I "Teapots on table" is stamped on
the domino using black Brilliance ink. Heat set the image.
Stamp the alphabet letters and numbers, "TEA 4 2" on white tissue paper
with black Brilliance ink and heat set and cut the letters out as one unit.
Using a soft brush, apply PPA to domino, place
"TEA 4 2" on the domino. Apply another
coat of PPA on top of the tissue. At this point, the letter should almost be
disappearing, but some of the
tissue will show. When dry, stamp on the sides of the domino with names of different types of tea.
Pink Crystal Lacquer was then applied to the top and all sides which takes a couple of hours to dry.
Tiny beads can be sprinkled into the Lacquer to give it more glitter. Tiny green beads were used
in this sample. Domino sample by Lee Ann Atencio.
This is the finished card using the "Tea 4 2" domino explained above.
A frame was cut out of decorative paper to frame the domino
and a charm was attached above it to complete this card. Card by Lee Ann Atencio.
Domino preparation:
Start with a white domino, lightly sand until
the sheen is gone. Add Gesso (white) to the top and sides. When dry, apply color with chalks.
Colors used were Oranges, yellows in the middle area, dark brown and black for the border.
JA458-G

of he domino, stamp words like "Apache" and "Mimbres"

lacquer the top and all the sides. A hole can be drilled in the domino
before preparing it to be stamped. They can also be sealed with Krylon
spray, Future Floor Finish or Diamond Glaze. Art by Lee Ann Antencio.
